This DVD provides a fun and fast paced way to learn conversational French. I studied French in high school and college and have forgotten so much. This DVD is bringing it back to me quickly, without the long, tedious lessons you have in school. I think it is something I will go back and review over and over. I think it would be a challenge for someone brand new to French, but it does say it is for someone who has gone beyond beginning French.

I have to be very motivated to write a review on anything. What motivates me here is how painful it is to watch this DVD lesson more than once. It seems to me to be high on hype and low on substance. Many so so jokes and good looking actors, but very little though in helpful repetition or anything much “beyond the basics”. Too much fluff, too little substance. Also would be better to have actors who are native french speakers to learn from.

There are some mistakes in the spelling in one or two items, but overall, it is very good, easy to follow and helpful.

I felt there was far too much english. I much prefer the immersion method used by “Victor” or “French in Action”

And It’s not really too far ‘beyond’ the basics – still the stuff covered in French 101.

A fun, interesting reinforcement and clarification of practical French phrases and rules. A great supplement for students taking french lessons in high school or college. Also great for adults. I bought Part 2 first. After watching the video, I ordered Part 1 for my daughter.
